This document provide instructs users on how to clean install the Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 10 operating system on ThinkCentre(R) and Lenovo desktop computers. Clean Install of Windows 10 on Lenovo Desktop Computers - US. On my Lenovo H50-55 Desktop Computer, I see the following partitions in Disk Management: (Click on the picture to see the image enlarged) I wish to reinstall a fresh copy of Windows 10 Home x64, which is what the PC shipped with but I am slightly confused as to which partitions I need to wipe, keep or delete as I cannot identify the identity and uses of all the partitions.
My friend is having a problem with his laptop, it is inconsistant in performance and often is unacceptably slow considering it's medium price point.
We figure the best way to combat this is to freshly install windows (preferably completely wiping the drive) as various anti viruses and speed software have not fixed the issues. The built in windows reset does not work, says failed to reset or something (we have tried this multiple times). The laptop (Lenovo y5070) seems to have a proprietary bios called uefi which does not allow booting from a usb. We have changed that to legacy support (I think is a different version of the bios) that enabled usb booting, however it still does not allow booting from a bootable usb even though it is selectable. I am not sure whether it is the usb (which we did format as bootable) or the laptop. I have a relatively good knowledge of computers but not as extensive as some, so
please if anybody knows anything about the installation of windows on a Lenovo laptop please help.
The laptop was sent in to be looked at by Lenovo however they proved useless and fixed nothing.
The laptop came with windows 8.1 which was 'upgraded' to windows 10, we do not have a disc or official usb with windows on it. However we do have a usb with windows 10 disc image file. This usb has worked before without any problems.
Any help at all is greatly appreciated <3.

I bought an used T440s with windows 10 pro 32bit (I guess upgraded from windows 7 because T440s originally had it). Unbelievably windows 10 pro was installed in 32bit version so I can't use all 8gb of ram present in the laptop. For this reason I want to install windows 10 pro 64bit but I don't know if I have to buy a new copy of windows 10 pro 64bit or if I can get a serial from somewhere in the system. I read online there should be windows 7 serial in bios but I guess it's not usable with windows 10.
Any experience with this?

I created a bootable USB key with 'Windows 10 Media Creation Tool' and it worked perfectly, I clicked 'I don't have a key' during windows installation and it self-activated. Thanks everybody
